Looks like Marcus Sanford over at A2W and Lane Wimberley (LOBV Member and awesome biking advocate) got some good press on the Austin360 site.

Way to ride in the rain, y'all! The article discusses the city's new "sharrow" trial, as well as the push for cycling infrastructure at The Domain. Also touched on is the new Bicycle Plan and the dream that by 2030 we be considered "a world-class bicycle city". It contains some decent quotes from Marcus and Lane, as well as long-time cycling advocate (and LOBV boss) Rob D'Amico and my very favorite city employee, Bicycle and Pedestrian Program superhero Annick Beaudet. You folks freaking rule!
It's a good article all-around. I highly recommend y'all read it and see what's happening in those parts of town we don't always get to ride. Thanks for pointing this out Rob!
These are truly disturbing, no?
Such attitude.
There is anything to do with cycling whether it is positive or negative, there will always be negative comments. People will continue to live in their own little world not caring about anyone or anything but themselves. We as cyclist could drive our cars in the summer as well and feel the nice comfort of the AC, but we choose to ride. The whole reason for the article, is to just keep us in mind when developing a new area. I really don't get why people get so defensive about cyclist. Yeah there are some bad apples that break the law, but show me a city in which every motorist follows every law to the T, and I'll show you a city that all the cyclist do the same.
