Y'all are so freaking nice! Seriously though, I've made a few simple (or maybe not so simple) requests for input and y'all have come through in a big way! First off, I needed the names of local bike businesses for the links section, now I have a dozen local builders/businesses on the list, with even more than that number of bike shops represented as well. Thanks everybody, I really appreciate it. I know I'm still missing a few shops/businesses, so if you own one or are a fan of one that isn't on my list, let me know and I'll be sure to remedy the omission.

Secondly, I recently announced that I was running a banner competition, and over the past few days the submissions have been rolling in. Not just banners, but re-mastered logos, posters, badges/patches, the works! Here are a few that really stood out to me right off the bat, but you can see them all right here:

Beyond the banners, a couple people have made me some really awesome additional images. Daniel Morrison re-did the lines and chainring on the main ATXBS logo. You can get copies here if you want to incorporate them into your banners/flyers/whatever. He also colorized his ATXBS Army badge. Out of control!

Kevin harnessed his insanity to come up with an awesome series of posters featuring local riders and their bikes. I don't know what I'm going to do with them yet but whatever I use 'em for I know it'll be badass. Look at this shit:

I'm running this contest through bike month (May 31st), but I want to start using images for a set of rotating banners on May 1st, so please don't delay! Check this entry for full details, but basically I'm looking for a 970x200 image that illustrates how badass Austin Bike Culture is and that says "ATXBS", "Austin Texas Bike Shit/Stuff", or incorporates the ATXBS logo. Besides that, it's up to you. Pictures of bikes, riders, paintings, nudity, graffiti, Austin landmarks, pencil sketches, it's all good. Once you're done, send it here and you're in!
