The bad news...

It looks like it's curtains for my road bike's wheelset. I took it to a shop and they informed me that there the annoying popping sound I'd been enduring out of my rear wheel was 3, yes, 3 spokes pulling through the aluminum of the rim. Dammit.

On that note, does anyone have an inexpensive set of 700c road wheels that'll take a 9-speed Shimano cassette you'd be willing to part with? If so, please let me know. Technically my front wheel is good so if you only have a back wheel I'd still be willing to take it off your hands, but I'd rather pick up a matched set if one is available. My price range is $200 or less, but the better deal you can cut me the more appreciative I'll be. I won't trade sexual favors (I may be easy but I ain't cheap), but most anything else is on the table. Anyone need some computer parts?

Oh, and to top it all off I crashed this afternoon about 10 minutes into my lunch ride. Trying to ride over some improvised north shore-style obstacles on a fixed gear road bike was not the brightest of ideas, in retrospect. Especially when there are exposed nails in the woodwork. Ow. Hopefully the blood I lost was only the bad blood.
