A local cyclist was recently injured by an insured driver, so his entire medical bills ended up on him, but thankfully that's not the end of this tragic tale. Read on to find out what y'all can do to help:

"Dear Friends and Clients,

Bobby, the assistant at Rock of Ages Tattoo parlor (next door to us), was recently involved in a bicycle accident with a vehicle. He is lucky to be with us today. He managed to regain consciousness but not without physical damage. The owner of the vehicle did not have insurance leaving Bobby’s parents to cover medical expenses. They managed to get his eye socket back in place but need help getting Bobby the required dental work.

Electra Beauty Lounge, Casita Taco, Irie Bean Coffee, Austin Laser Clinic & Rock of Ages Tattoo are working together to raise funds for Bobby’s dental work. We have donated (3) $100 certificates to the silent auction that is being held May 1st – May 16th inside Irie Bean Coffee shop, among other great items.

Please join us in supporting a fellow friend Saturday, May 16th from 7-10pm in the back patio of 2310 S. Lamar. Drink specials, Silent Auction and Live DJ. After party @ Red 7 Bar, 611 E. 7th Street . See the attached flyer for more details!

Thank you for your continued business and support!"

And the flyer...

Show up May 16th sometime after 7 at Irie Bean Coffee Shop down on S. Lamar for music, drink specials, a silent auction and all sorts of other goodness, or hit up Red 7 after 10 to get into the after party. Thanks for sending this, y'all, and I hope you heal up quick Bobby.

Bobby,

Sorry to hear about your accident. I can relate to your situation, and have some advice to offer. Three months ago, I was struck by a mini-van. The driver had no insurance, in addition she was unemployed and living at Salvation Army. I, too, was left with the financial burdens of the injury, when I was not at fault for the accident.

Never the less, I recommend you hire an attorney. If YOU OR YOUR PARENTS have auto insurance, there is a way for you to claim off of their uninsured motorist protection. If so, you will be able to collect a good amount of money that can help with your surgeries/procedures. I would like to offer more information if you'd like. Feel free to call 818-585-7729.

Get Well,

Daniel
