Thursday Urban Night Ride - this time with FREE BEER and NO TRAILS

So maybe I was a little harsh when I ripped on the Urban Night Ride for riding on the sidewalk last week, but this time around they're officially redeeming themselves. This week's ride meets on the Lamar Pedestrian Bridge around 7:30pm and leaves at 7pm like usual, but check out this choice bit of info I was just made privy to:

Social Cycling ATX sponsors a really great ride every Thursday evening. They meet at the Pfluger (Lamar St.) Pedestrian Bridge on Thursdays at 7:30pm, then take off around 8 for a nice and casual cruise around town that ends up at some local drinking establishment.

This week’s ride, the plan is to ride a nice East Side route (map here) and end up at the Jackalope, where they are setting the ride up with a FREE keg of Lone Star Beer for all riders of legal drinking age WITH a valid ID.

Fuck yeah! I'm going to be missing the beginning of the ride due to the big City Council Meeting (come before the ride if you're going, just BE AT CITY HALL AROUND 6PM) and will be cruising to the YBP party after, but I'm sure I'll find some time in between there to meet up with the crew and hang at The Jackalope, basking in the glow of FREE BEER.
