BIG City Council Meeting TOMORROW - If you ride a bike you need to be there!
Simon Z of the BikeTakeover mailing list sent out the following announcement which perfectly capsulizes all the big important things happening tomorrow. Read on:

Can't make the meeting? Go to city hall up to 72 hours prior to the meeting and sign up "to speak" (a way of showing support) on the Bike Plan. You’ll need the agenda item number, which is 61 PH. View the PDF Flier to print and hand out
It may be bike month, but that didn't stop a very hateful, anti-bike editorial from appearing in the statesman recently, written by El Mercado owner, Cindy Stone. Let the council know that we care and support not just the bike plan updates, but the immediate implementation of the bike plan. Thankfully someone else on the statesman staff was more enlightened and countered the inaccurate journalism.
See you on the streets,
Simon
There you have it folks. That's the big plan in a nutshell. Thanks for sending this out Simon! The main things to remember are that the meeting is at 6pm at City Hall, and the Agenda Number (what you need to sign up in support of) is 61 PH. Hopefully I'll see ALL OF Y'ALL there at the meeting, and then afterward at the YBP birthday party. Tomorrow's going to be a big day for Austin cyclists, lets make an impression on the City and pack the house.
what exactley happens there? You sit and listen and show support by your presence? How long is it?
