Ok, here's the consolidated info for everyone who's racing today:
What: DeathxDeathFest Alleycat
When: 5:00pm Registration, 6:00pm Race
Where: Shipe Park (45th St. between Aves F and G)
How Much: $5
At Stake: Soma Track frame for the winner, other awesome prizes for placing, free beer for all
So since apparently there were many conflicting rides on may 3rd and may 5th is a monday, we have moved the race to saturday May 10th. But the good news is that the prizes for first second and third are now official. They go as follow. There are also a bunch of mini prizes that are also way rad one that i think is awesome is a swobo merino jersey. Also the after party is now in the parking lot of the Peddler as it is going to finish there.
First- Soma Rush Frame in the size and color of the winners choice
Second- Velocity Wheel Set
Third- Chris King Head SetWhile I am not releasing the route, the tasks are now official, if not still vague
Minibike Helltrack
Tall Bike Obstacle Course
Wheel of Destiny
Zombie Guts
Drag Race
Austin Massacre ( think thrashin)
all these plus some scavenger huntin for clues!
On May 5, 2008 DeathxDeathFest will take place at Shipe Park ( on 45th between ave f and g) in sunny Austin, Texas.There will be an alleycat/scavenger hunt. There will also be a helltrack, wheel of destiny, snow of the ages, monsoon of blood, drag race, and many more grueling tests of character The grand prize for first place will be a pake' frame. Also up for grabs are a set of gator skin tires. Many more prizes will be available is we track down more sponsors. So come prepared to bicycle boogie, and wear clothes you don't mind dieing in. Be there its gonna be fricking awesome
