Garza Strip Block Party - Repost

Simon just sent me this event and it sounds INCREDIBLE! The wild creations from Austin Bike Zoo are out of this world, and if you've never seen them before I'd highly recommend it. If you HAVE seen them before then I don't have to!

all ages welcome

Maybe you've heard, but the Garza Strip, aka 17th St., is throwing a block party. From our block to yours comes fun, games, music, food, birthday cake, crazy bicycle races, water balloons, pedal powered stage, sidewalk chalk and so much more. Hailey, myself and our dear neighborhood toyota pickup are all becoming a little wiser and beginning the 4th decade of our latest and greatest adventures. The only gift we ask you to bring is yourself, your sense of humor and any special element of block party creativity that you want to share with us. If you are interested in playing music, performing, whatever makes your block party vein pulse, let us know or just bring it along. stay tuned for the worlds zaniest bicycle race and largest birthday cake!!
