Ladies' Night at The Driveway, plus a call for VOLUNTEERS!!!

OK here is the dealio, They would need to contact Leila at leila.kasprzyk@silabs.com since Eileen will only be running the ride and not registering people. Whoever volunteers will need to be available from 4:30 to 7:30.

I just received the following request from Leila, one of the organizers out at The Driveway. She wants everybody to know that this coming Thursday (July 2nd) is going to be a HUGE night out at the driveway, and they're going to need some volunteers. If you have the time and want to throw in, I'm sure they'd appreciate it.

July 2nd is going to be *huge* at the driveway and I need your help! We are expecting record attendance because most people will have the 3rd off from work, it is Ladies night, and we are allowing the Austin Cycling Association to use the first part of the night for a hosted ride (details below)!!! Bottom line: We need volunteers to help cover all this stuff! I know this is a tough time because many of you will be planning trips for the holiday weekend. If you are available, please let me know!

Also, please tell your cycling friends and family about the two events we will be doing on this night.

Ladies night: Includes a clinic starting at 6:15 where riders will learn basic to advanced bike handling skills. The cost for the clinic is $5 w/ a can and $10 w/o a can. You get to race one race free with the purchase of the clinic, however a one day USAC licenses will cost an extra $10 and is required for racing only.

ACA Hosted Ride: A night at the Driveway

Join some of the ACA Hosted Ride Leaders for a Night at the Driveway starting at 4:00 and going until 6:20. The track is a motorsport training center with beautifully smooth asphalt. Every Thursday night it is home to the Driveway Series criterium bike races. (drivewayseries.com) For $5 and a donated can of food, we'll have access to the upper track from 4:00 until 6:20. We will be riding laps - time yourself to find your hosted ride 'home' pace. All paces are welcome! Come by when you can. Stay for the Ladies Night clinic or catch the bike racers on the lower track.
