Unknown Cyclist struck at 5th and Nueces identified, and is recovering

I just heard from the girlfriend of the cyclist who was struck at 5th and Nueces last month, and who I incorrectly reported had passed away. According to her, he's officially back in the land of the living AND the conscious:

the "unknown bicyclist" that was hit on fifth and nueces last month is okay, he was in a coma for about a month and now is responsive and regaining strength and in a rehab facility in round rock. his name is ulises garcia he is my boyfriend and an amazing man. its going to be a long road ahead for recovery but he will make it. he suffered a severe traumatic brain injury and a fracture in his left arm, he is fighting and very determined to get back to life as it once was. it would be really nice to hear back from you...at least i could inform you that he is okay and does have a name. take care
