As of today the Austin leg of the Bicycle Film Festival is one month away, and there's a lot of excitement brewing about it already. For starters, the program has been extended to FIVE evenings of bicycle movie awesomeness. There are several local entries that I know about, including the following 10-minute edit of the latest fixed gear freestyling madness from Texas locals Raven Feeders:

Add on top of all the films a race (more soon) and a Bike Polo tournament and you've got a hell of an excellent week. Stay tuned for more teasers and info as I get it. From what I've heard so far I'm already freaking out about this shit. Wonder if I can get a press pass...

The ladies this coming weekend (7/11/09) at Double Down are going to be filmed using 4 HD cameras for a documentary about girls on bikes to be entered in the film fest. Woot!

i just hate rap hip hop...i'm a musician, dj's cannot even suck my cock...and if they touch my guitar i will put them in my blender.i do like the metal band music, and this is the best bicycle video production i have ever seen...you kick ass! D

baaaaadass! music is kind of "not real" though..D-bunnii

I dunno, some of the riders in the video are from the Houston area and besides murder and oil I think slowed and throwed rap music is their biggest export. Shit's trill enough for me...

Cool video... I submitted this time lapse video of my 70 day bike ride with Texas 4000 to the Bicycle Film Festival but unfortunately it was not selected: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mGgGUkDwyk

I had even already bought a plane ticket for the week the festival began in NYC but I guess I jinxed myself on that one. Still had a great time in NYC though!
