UT and Mellow Johnny's present: UT Landmark Ride this Saturday

I received the following event notification from Samuel Cortez, the Bicycle Coordinator at UT. Sounds like a good way to spend Saturday morning before it gets too hot out:

For people with an adventurous spirit and a passion for the outdoors, there’s no better way to experience public art than from the seat of a bicycle.

Join UT's Landmarks and Mellow Johnny’s Bike Shop for an easy ride around campus and visit Landmarks public art projects. Members of the Landmarks Docents will guide the rides.

Departs from Mellow Johnny’s Bike Shop, 8:30 a.m.
Meets at the Blanton Museum Café, 9 a.m.
Total distance is 6 miles, on-campus distance is 3 miles. Travels at a novice-friendly pace.

Meet up at Mellow Johnny's before 8:30am (their roll-out time is SERIOUS) for some coffee and a snack, or just wait at The Blanton at 9 to go on the tour itself. This ride should maintain a very chill pace, so I expect relatives who haven't been on a bike in a while or younger cyclists who are confident in their abilities will feel very welcome.
