The insane rantings of an alleycross madman...

Brian just sent out his latest newsletter of local bike happenings. He's been doing this longer than most, so when he announces an event expect it to be EPIC!

Hello everyone.

First - you all need to pray harder for rain! Aside from the disgustingness of the outdoors right now, we need to cross race!

Second - You and all your friends need to either attend or volunteer for Bicycle Film Festival. It's going to be incredibly rad this year! If you want to volunteer, contact our co-ordinator Jillian. If you don't have the time to volunteer, just come out and have fun! There will be an obscene amount of side events this year to include a BMX comp, fixed trick comp, alleycat, polo tournament, and TONS of parties. August 5-9. Check the site everyday until it gets updated with our stuff. Also - make SURE you get to see "The Bicycle Cowboy" by our pal Ben Lynch. Even if I wasn't in it, I would have loved every second of it. Seriously awesome shit.

Third - For those of you that haven't befriended me on Facebook - the Giro will happen this year!!! The dates are tentative, but I will say late August to early September. I wanted to start it the day after Le Tour, but I can't handle that kind of stress on top of the BFF stuff and my 2 "real" jobs. Get your stoke up and be prepared to do some serious battle. And have some serious fun too, of course. For those of you that have no idea what I'm talking about, you can do some research here and here. 6 days of heartbreaking fun and fantastical pain.
