YBP Fund-raiser Alleycat and Show @ Emo's!
Update: I'm a complete idiot and just realized I posted this event twice after reading about it in separate places. Oops. You can read more about this at TrickTrack, or check the Facebook page for full up-to-the-minute details. Both events are ALL AGES, so bring all your jailbait friends.
Jim just sent me a flyer for an up-coming Yellow Bike Project fund raiser Alleycat and show, and they've got a GREAT list of sponsors backing them. Look at this madness:
So all you gotta do is show up on the Lamar Ped Bridge with $5 and a bike at 6:15pm and you're in the race. From the sound of things there are some REALLY BADASS prizes in store for the top contenders, so I'd strongly suggest racing if you've got it in you. With prizes from people like Leader Bike, Dominion Bicycle Company and WILLITS, expect greatness.
After the race there's a show at Emo's on the outdoor stage which begins at 8pm and features James and his Douchebags, Black Cock, The Diving Captain, and a fourth as-of-yet-unconfirmed band. Sounds like a hell of a production, nice job y'all. This show is ALL AGES, so that means this is the bike event to bring your kid brother/sister to, as long as they've got the $5 to pony up for the show. There's even a Facebook page for the event, so you can pass out the link to all your internet nerd friends. Do it.
If anyone is interested in volunteering for the race, please contact Jim Phillips and let him know that you can pitch in.
