Thursday Night Social Ride - Earlier start time, for increased excellence...

Keith just posted the latest info on this week's incarnation of the newly re-named "Thursday Night Social Ride". He sent me an email asking me to emphasize the fact that WE LEAVE AT 8PM SHARP, so hopefully bold and CAPSLOCK makes that point clear. If you want to socialize before the ride, be there at 7:30pm. If you show up at 8:05, meet us at Metz Park. On with the words from the everybody's favorite ride MC:

Thursday Night Social Ride

This is going to be a really fun Thursday, Social Riders. After meeting at the bridge a half hour earlier than usual, we are heading to our hangout at Metz Park for some bike polo and some Texas Foot Down, then we are riding around the east side for a while, then head over for some free beer, courtesy of the Jackalope.

I play bike polo practically every week and I can say with certainty that you Social Riders are going to love it! The polo club will be putting on an exhibition for us and getting ready for their upcoming tournament during the BFF. Then they are giving the Social Riders a shot at playing a game or two. The rules are simple and they provide everything you will need. We might even have a first timer’s game where the winning team will get some prizes from Ozone Bike Department.

We will also be having some Texas Foot Down as well, so be sure and bring your tough bike… or tall bike.

We are doing things a little different this week. WE ARE MEETING EARLIER. Days are shorter, so we will start the ride a half hour early. Meet at the Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge and 7:30. We will LEAVE AT 8. We will leave and go straight to Metz for the fun and games. After we are through having refreshments and hanging out, I will take us on an extended east side cruise. When we are good and thirsty for some beer, we are heading to back to where it all started, the Jackalope, for some cold free beer.

Hanging out with friends, riding around the east side, playing bike polo and free beer! Do I really need to say more!?

lights, a lock, and a valid ID stating you are 21 if you want to join us at the bar.
