Bicycle Sport Shop AND Social Cycling present: Bat Fest Ride 2009!!!

Looks like Bicycle Sport Shop is teaming with the crew from Social Cycling ATX to bring us this years' Bat Fest costumed bike ride! Dress up like a bat, show up at Bicycle Sport Shop at 7pm August 22nd, and cruise on down to the festival with a bunch of other wacky bikers in flying rat costumes. Here are the details, as well as a schedule of the festivities:

Get bat wild with us for the 5th Annual Bat Fest. Estimated attendance for this event is 40,000, so park in a free and safe spot at Bicycle Sport Shop on South Lamar. Enjoy the ride to the Congress bridge in great company with the Bicycle Sport Shop crew and Social Cycling. Enjoy the music of the Gourds, Vallejo, Bob Schneider, Girl In A Coma, One Eyed Doll and The Wailers. Explore the work of artists and craftspeople in approximately 150 booths. Embrace the festival with your best bat costume and there just might be some prize money in it for you.
