Breaking story: Reports of THEFT at the Thursday Night Social Ride.

I've received several reports now of theft on last nights Thursday Night Social Ride. I'm trying to gather more information about it which I'll share with y'all, but this theft was NOT of bicycles, but of the contents of peoples' bags. Purses, phones, ipods, and even a PASSPORT was stolen.

PLEASE keep an eye on your belongings, and if you see someone doing something they shouldn't (going through bags, fucking with bikes, etc) LET OTHER PEOPLE KNOW. We need to know who we have to look out for on these rides, and to possibly mete out some on-the-spot correction to those who aren't socially adjusted well enough to be let out in public without fucking shit up. I've already gotten the name of a possible suspect, but don't want to mention anything until I have further confirmation.

FUCK THEFT. If you're a biker and you're stealing shit from other bikers, knock it off. A lot of the people on these big rides are lame pushover hipsters who won't do a damn thing about it besides talk shit if they found a thief, but some of us are a little rougher around the edges and don't take kindly to that type of behavior. As much as I hate bike theft in general and bike thieves in particular, I'm really saying this for your own personal well being. A beaten, bloodied thief is a sorry sight for anybody to behold, and causes a lot of questions to be raised by official looking people who carry guns. Please save us a lot of trouble and DON'T STEAL SHIT, ASSHOLES. Thanks.
