The Bicycle Film Festival is in FULL SWING!

Ladies and gents, the Austin Bicycle Film Festival is now officially on. Today is the first day of the film programs, and from the sound of things they have an extra special surprise planned for the 9pm Program. Jeanette was being all mysterious about it, so I guess you'll find out what the deal is when I do. Get your tickets for Program 2 right here and see what the hubbub is all about. Beyond that there's also a really crazy-sounding Fabulous Friday alleycat taking place in a parking garage, and a BIG Yellow Bike Project fundraiser afterwards at Creekside Lounge on 7th, where they'll be raffling off a bike in addition to the musical guests and other fun shit they've got planned.

As the flyer says the show features the musical talents of Benko, Lick Lick, Super Sonic Uke and The Rice Moorehead Band. The cover is only five bucks, so if you REALLY wanted to get out to Wednesday's show but couldn't swing the $15, get your ass down here and give a fiver to that most venerable of Austin bicycle advocacy organizations: The Yellow Bike Project. It sounds like a great show, it supports the local community, and all the best people (like yours truly) should be out there, so what's not to love? Be there and let the YBP know how you've benefited from their services over the years, I'm sure their volunteers would love to hear it.
