The time of my life, aka. Bike Film Fest 2009!

With the help of Kevin as the other half of team "Kill Em All" we pulled off a first place win in the Scavenger Hunt. Other first place wins were Chris "Karlwithak" in the fast race, and Kate in the ladies race. The other places will have to wait until the organizers get me the results (hit me up y'all!), but all the races seemed to be very well organized, incredibly different, and most importantly, a whole fuckload of FUN!!!

The rest of the film fest, BMX/fixie trick comp and the Bike Polo tournament has been phenomenal as well. I managed to make it to all the events and half the film programs, catching the BMX flicks and the urban bike shorts. If you missed out on them tonight (and I do mean YOU MISSED OUT, they were awesome) I'd HIGHLY recommend you go see them tomorrow. The local Texas videos are GREAT, the Made in Queens short blew my mind again, and Lucas Brunelle's latest footage (including Monster Track 2009) made the entire audience gasp and cheer like they were riding a rollercoaster. The passes have been sold out, but it's the last day so you don't really need them anyway, pay the $10 each and just see the programs you're interested in.

I'll write more about the rest of the fest when I'm not dead tired. The bike polo tourney has been INTENSE, with several out of state teams ripping it up and really showing some amazing teamwork and ball handling skills. Jasmine took a mallet to the head and now has the beginnings of a sexy new scar. Heal up quick!
