BAC meeting this Thursday, and now we have an AGENDA!
Nadia just sent out the minutes from the last BAC meeting and the agenda for this one. There are a BUNCH of BAC issues on the agenda, so not all of them may get addressed (we have lives outside this stuff too. Sometimes). Here's the info on the time and place:
I apologize profusely for this late submittal of minutes and agenda. I hope that the agenda meets everyone’s needs, however, with the high number of BAC related issues, we may consider tabling a few. This will definitely be something worth discussing at the beginning of the meeting so as to get the timeliest issues dealt with first.
We are also NOT changing venues, so same time (this Thursday the 20th, 6:30 PM), same place (8th floor conference room of One Texas Center).
Now on to the plethora of riveting subjects, sure to make for a lively meeting. Here are the items from the BAC (and general public):
- Consensus Based Decision Making – Tommy Eden
- Review By-laws – Eddie Church
- Implementation of Education/Promotion items from the Bike Plan – Michael Cosper
- Resolution for CapMetro to sponsor a bicycle working group – Stuart Werbner
- Street Sweeping – Michael Cosper
- Bicyclists should, “Be aware that your actions are unpredictable to drivers and pedestrians.” – Chris LeBlanc
- LAB signage/STOP signs and yielding – Alonso Araya
The item from Chris LeBlanc sounds interesting, though I don't know if they're trying to pass a resolution or make a statement or what. Not to be left out in the cold, the City staff present us with one lone item:
- South Shore PUD update – Eileen Schaubert/Denise Shaw
As a teaser for next months big meeting, they gave us a few additional agenda items down the line. Check it:
- TxDOT Presentation on Jurisdictional Cooperation (August)
- Brackenridge Tract/UT Coordination in General
I know I'm excited, I'll see y'all there. I'll be bringing the coffee, and will try to remember to make it iced. Oh yeah, we're a bunch of renegades at the BAC.
