According to New York Magazine, we're a "counterculture gossip" blog.
New York Magazine recently wrote an article about travelling to and biking in Austin, TX, and at the end of the article they include a page of useful links:
Don't be fooled by the broken links on the homepage. The Austin Bike Culture Archive remains a testament to the city's prolific, divergent biking scene, and illustrates a vast, though not always maintained, cycling subculture.
Check out the snark fest at Austin Texas Bike Shit Stuff to read up on Austin’s counterculture cycling gossip.
Austin Cycling Association has an informative website with exhaustive links to local Austin bike resources, including maps, and an updated users' forum.
Austin on Two Wheels is a friendly site that features a great calendar listing organized rides, in addition to news, reviews, opinionated columns, and contests.
"Snark fest"? Me? Heh.
Anyone else amused by the snarky comments in response to this post describing this site as snarky. I don't think Jason is generally snarky, but commenters on the other hand . . .

i had no idea that all you needed to do to become a reporter for 'New York' was browse websites and create a write up of a celebrity owned bike shop you've never been to. amazing.
wouldn't it have been a more interesting article if mr. graham went on a metal monday ride and wrote about the dust in his teeth? :)
and to think i went to a tx college for journalism and all i got out of it was a couple of lameass blogspots.

There's no such thing as bad publicity....
Speed over leisure... at least they got that right
Ha! Snark blog. My favorite one to read!
dead links? seems like lazy journalism to me:)
I have always been under the impression that 'snarky' publicity is better then none!
overall, not a bad article which seems to paint a pretty decent tourist guide for one to come on two wheels!

It's not so much that it has so many dead links, it's that a lot of links link to articles that haven't been written yet.
It's too bad, actually -- it's a neat idea. Maybe I'll sign up on it and start filling out some of the articles.
Edit: looks like you can't register for an account -- that's broken. But you can still edit pages.
