Calling Shelton Green, we've got another fake story for you to cover!

Hey Shelton, in need of any more "guerilla bike lane" bullshit to spew? Well look at THIS ONE up in North Austin off of Guadalupe:

Sure enough, some concerned citizen called in these markings to the City, probably at the prompting of Shelton's "guerilla bike lane" smear piece. The City looked into it (sending a staffer up to take the above photograph) and determined that the markings were made by a STREET SWEEPER, and not a rogue cyclist as assumed by the caller.

Shelton's never let a couple facts get in the way of a good bullshit story in the past, so maybe we'll see some more "guerilla bike lane" drivel on the evening news. One can hope!

Update: I just sent Shelton an email with the picture attached. Just wanted to make sure the news media was informed this time around.

P.S. Please don't actually paint any guerrilla bike lanes. It just causes frustration and headaches for the city staffers responsible for putting in real bike lanes, and at the rate they're striping them, it seems that they already have their hands full.
