The Austin Texas Bike Polo Social Club host regular games of Bike Polo at Eastwoods Park every Sunday afternoon starting at 2pm. Just look for the sweaty bikers near the tennis courts.

All you need to bring with you is your bike and a sporting attitude, all the rest will be provided. BYOB is also welcome, and if you bring some to share you'll make a lot of new friends. The local club lists the rules of the game on their website, but they're easily explained on-site if you lack the ability to read.

Beyond the regular games 2-3 times a week, there's a lot more going on with the local polo club behind the scenes: printing t-shirts, planning a massive multi-state polo trip (more info here), late night guerrilla polo matches (this kind, not this kind), and all sorts of other shit. Want to know more? Read their blog and find out! From the sound of things we've been sending a good bit of traffic their way, but that's just because I love these cats and what they do. If you haven't experienced bike polo yet, you should swing out there this afternoon (try around 3:30-4 for best viewing) and see what all the hype is about. You'll be glad you did.
