Man, this month has just FLOWN by. We're 1 day away from Critical Mass, and 2 days away from FRANKENBIKE, that big awesome local bike swap meet where I go to get all my good shit. This month they're going to be holding the event at Find and Grind Skate Shop up off of 53rd St (North Loop, basically) near Airport. If you haven't been by there yet, here's a map. The swap meet starts at 11am, so if you've got shit to sell or want to get the REAL good deals, be there then.
P.S. If anybody has some 26mm clamp drop bars they're lookg to get rid of (preferably 3TTT ergo bars), PLEASE bring them and let me know. I had a drunk rider who couldn't hold his liquor OR stay upright take me and 2 other cyclists out at the last Midnight Ridazz pub crawl (hey Victor, give me a shout if you want to make things right) and trash my bars, so I need a replacement. Hook a brother up, y'all!

I will be there, so I'm just putting the word out that I need a crankset. It's gotta be a Japanese square taper, not Italian (I don't want to replace my bottom bracket, too). Preferably silver and double, but I could use a triple. 48/38 or something similar, I don't like this 53/39 jazz that I keep seeing around.

You should look into a compact double crankset, which is 110mm BCD and typically comes with a 50/34 combo. The 34 is nice on hills, but the 50 is still big enough to get some serious speed on the descents.
I will keep my eyes out :)

Nitto B-123 Cr-Mo 36cm (NJS) - 25.4mm clamp
3ttt Gimondi Aluminum 43cm - 25.8mm clamp (similar to a Cinelli Criterium or track bars, very short straight top section)
and some other non drop bars as well. Ill look for you.
