We're back, and riding the Social Ride come hell or high water!
THAT SUCKED! If you visit this page often you've probably noticed that we were down for the past 30 hours or so. Looking past this post you'll also see we're missing a couple weeks worth of posts. We got owned by hackers. Database may have gotten fux0rzd in the process, and the OS got hosed. Short story, Ed undertook the Herculean task of re-installing a more secure OS, re-building the array and all the config info, and the restored an older backup, from before the hack and infection.
THANKS ED, YOU RULE!
Unfortunately this has screwed up my calendar, so until we get back underway (and try to restore the missing posts) things are gonna look a bit skimpy. Elliott and the rest of the A2W crew have a good events in brief post for the next week to keep y'all abreast of what's coming up. I'll get back on populating the calendar tomorrow.
TONIGHT, however, is the Social Ride. The crew starts forming like Voltron in about 25 minutes at the Scoot Inn over on 4th Street. We leave at 8pm, if you want to know how it's gonna go from there, check out the facebook event post.
That's right y'all, I said WE. Fuck it, broken wrist be damned. I swung by Rene's Longhorn Bikes over lunch and hopped on a couple of his cruisers to try out bike/bar combos. After some deliberation and discussion with the man himself, I decided on a set of oversized BMX bars as the most comfortable. It took some monkeying around but I got 'em on the Rob Roy. Yeah, it looks ridiculous but it works. I'll see y'all tonight.
My reader is out, too.
Glad to have you back! :D
To whomever hacked ATXBS. Glad to see you back. The RSS feed doesn't seem to work any more though. I had no idea until I saw the post on A2W.

I think the problem is that he was up to node/2363 or so before the hack, but after the hack, after restoring the backup he restarted with node/2324.
But your (and mine) RSS feed still has data for nodes 2324 to 2363. So it already knows about these items, why tell us they're new?
Ideally he should have restarted with node/2364 -- and I guess he still could, and should.
I still have all my RSS feeds cached, so he could recreate things from that (except for comments), but that might be more trouble than it's worth.
to join ya'll next week. Come hell or high water, injured foot or not, i will be there, even if i have to pedal with one foot. that would be epic.
