Social Cycling ATX presents: The Chickenshit Bingo Ride!
Man, these Social Cyclers just don't quit! First it was the Social Rides, then came the Heavy Metal Rides, then a NOON Ride for the "funemployed" or non 9-5er cyclists out there, and now THIS: A Sunday afternoon ride to Ginny's Little Longhorn Saloon to play Chickenshit bingo. Read on for deets:
Hey everyone. This Sunday we are meeting for a little riding, a little drinking and a "shitload" of fun. Folks, it's the Chicken Shit Bingo Ride!
What? You've never heard of Chicken Shit Bingo? Well check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xghebqshq1o. Tickets are $2 to play the game. You get a number and if the chicken does what chickens do on your number, you win the pot (usually around $100)
Here are the details:
When and Where: Sunday November 22, Pfluger (Lamar) Pedestrian Bridge at 1PM. Try to be the on time, but we will wait for a bit. We'll take off North when I think everyone has shown.
What: Chicken Shit Bingo at Ginny's Little Longhorn (map: http://tinyurl.com/yck3tdu). Doors open at 2. Bingo Starts at 4. There will be three rounds of bingo. Dale Watson plays us all some old school honky tonk music for your listening and dancing pleasure. ICE COLD (coldest in town) Lone Star Beer and BYOB. A set up is $2 if you want ice, soda and a cup for your booze.
HOW: Social Cycling ATX rides with traffic and not against it. We stay to the right in ONE LANE, we STOP AT RED LIGHTS and let cars pass. Listen to your ride leaders. They have your best interest in mind and are some really nice people.
BRING: A helmet is always a good idea, but I am leaving that up to you. You ride at your own risk on the Social Ride. Lights, Lock and an ID if you plan on getting into the bars are necessities.
This is going to be a blast. Ginny's little longhorn is a great little honky tonk dive bar. It's not your corporate bland new country hang out at all. Bingo is a blast and Dale Watson is a legend. Also we are stopping at the Mellow Mushroom Pizza on the way and they are buying a round of beers to help fortify us on our trip up to Ginny's. On top of all of that, we get to ride our bikes around on what looks like will be a perfect day.
See ya'll at the bridge!

Nice, and since this is up in my neighborhood it'll make getting home a breeze. Thanks Keith! You can RSVP (or just talk shit) on the event's Facebook page.
