2009 Gobble Wobble Scavenger Hunt/Alleycat

I just looked over at the calendar and saw that there was NOTHING to look forward to, and that made me sad. Then I remembered a little something something happening in a few days, coming straight at you from the bike-addled brains of Brent Nutting and Brian Davies:

That's right y'all, the Gobble Wobble is BACK! This is a team-based scavenger hunt, so grab your friends, have them grab their bikes, and show up at the Lamar Pedestrian Bridge ready for something AWESOME. This is the kind of race where the fastest doesn't always win, and sheer cargo capacity trumps carbon fiber or a wicked fixie. The cost to race is only two bits and the event wraps up before lunch, so you've got no excuse NOT to race.

Make sure you get to the bridge ON TIME, as the race begins promptly at 10am so as to facilitate all the fun times we usually have with our loved ones on this most gluttonous of holidays. This is my favorite race of the year (my team KILLED IT last year), and is definitely one not to miss. If any of y'all are into the history of Austin Alleycatting this one was the first; just ask the old-timers.
