Social Cycling ATX presents: Thursday Night Social Ride - Pilgrims and Indians!
I'm going to be sitting this one out while eating Thanksgiving dinner up at ATXBS HQ, but even with the holidays the Social Ride rolls on! Due to the date, the theme this time around is Pilgrims and Indians:
Hey there Social Cyclists. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and you have two choices. You can sit on the couch feeling stuffed, watching some sporting event and reaching for your third slice of pumpkin pie or you can get dress like and Indian or Pilgrim, get on your bike, work off some of that feast and have some fun. Folks, it's the Thanksgiving Day Indians and Pilgrims Ride.
When and Where: Thursday 7pm at The Scoot Inn (map: http://tinyurl.com/y8fo255). We leave at 8pm.
What: Dress like your favorite american native or pilgrim. Make peace, play native american bicycle games, trade wampum (yo indians, watch out for those blankets! i don't think those guys really want to be friends). We will ride until we feel like going over to the Jackalope where they have a cornucopia of Magic Hat and Lone Star on tap for us. Let's give some thanks for the Jackalope and all of the support they have given us over the past year!
How: We follow the rules of traffic. Stay to the right, in one lane. Stop at all redlights. Listen to your ride leaders. They have your safety in mind and are some nice people.
BRING: A helmet is always a good idea, but I am leaving that up to you. You ride at your own risk on the Social Ride. Lights, Lock and an ID if you plan on getting into the bars are necessities.
Everybody peel themselves off the couch and let's spend Thanksgiving night riding around town and being thankful that we are on some bikes!
See everyone at the Scoot!

7pm at The Scoot Inn, ride leaves about a hour later. Have fun out there folks. I'll be eating turkey, watching horror movies and burning things. If you know where the HQ is, swing on by. And bring beer.
