ANOTHER stolen bike report: this time a Santa Cruz Tallboy mountain bike
What is up with this? Wes Robinson of the Austin Cycling Association JUST emailed me about a bicycle that was stolen earlier at Texas Chili Parlor. Here are the details, and his contact info:
I need a little help getting the word out on a Santa Cruz Tallboy (29er) that was stolen off of a vehicle at the Texas Chili Parlor. It is full suspension, carbon and the color is black with XT components. This is a unique bike and only a few have been sold in town. I am offering a reward for its safe return. My number is (512) 970-7845. Thanks.

No word on how the bike was secured at the time, but this is a major bummer so if any of y'all would keep an eye out for this pretty unique bike it'd be much appreciated.
Pretty please can't we set up a sting? I'm willing to offer up any Academy Sports & Outdoors (the Right Stuff, the Right Price) gift cards I may get for xmus for some paintball equipment to wreak some havoc on bike thieves. I'll offer up one of my bikes as bait. Can't we hide in the shadows and then paintball the fuck out of some bike-thieving creeps?
Relay information you have to the owner, but otherwise let the police handle this. For one good reason why, see:
Paintballs might not be a fair match.

It had been secured with a cable lock along with other bicycles.
