It's ALIVE!!! Well, sorta.
Look what I did today...
It's obviously not finished but FrankenStereo 3000 has passed the wiring functionality test and is now being put together in earnest. I'm missing a drill bit I need to install the switches (seen in the pic sitting on the amp), but we're getting close on this one. If you notice there are two switches and a weird plug thing. That's so I can run it in 3 modes, battery, plugged in, and charging. As usual I didn't actually put a lot of thought into this design (pencil went to paper last night) before cutting and pasting, but so far it's turning out ok and if I can get the mounting system to work correctly (IF) then this puppy should be ready to roll in time for Critical Mass.
It that doesn't work out it should DEFINITELY be running by the time of the New Years Eve five million hours of straight biking extravaganza. What's this, you might ask? More details after I've slept.
way cool! derek
You've got a lovely bunch of batteries!
Looks like 18 Ah batteries, which gives you about 900 watt*hours of power with four of them (if they're in good condition)!
Of course, that also gives him almost 60 lbs of batteries alone. Which is still easier to lug around than a pedicabbing customer, but it probably doesn't tip as well.
But its gonna have enough power to bump it at club volume for hours. Good up Jason.
