Wednesday Night Road Ride #26 - Limited edition, once in a lifetime opportunity!
Mr. Sato is back in town and back on the case as far as the weekly Wednesday Night Road Ride is concerned:
Daniel has a few things he wanted to mention about the ride, including some safety info at the end. Read on for admonishment:
If you haven't made it out to one of my Wednesday rides yet, the one on Wednesday is the one to go to!
I've had this route in my head for a while, but I've been waiting on the full moon, because we're hitting some unlit roads up north. 12/30 is pretty close to the full moon, and it's the last ride of the year, so I don't see a better opportunity!
Two major points of interest:
1) Don't come out with lights. The full moon helps, but several miles of this route are totally unlit. If you want to play in traffic at night with no lights, that's your business - don't make it mine. Riders without lights ruin it for everyone.
2) If you ride a fixie, put some brakes on it. There are hills on this route that you CANNOT descend safely on a brakeless track bike.
There you have it. New route, burly descents, good times, but are you a fixie ninja? If so Daniel wants you to pick another ride.
