You've got TWO DAYS to prepare for the BEST BIKE RIDE(s) of the decade...

The next three events I'm about to post form like Voltron to create the greatest unholy trinity of New Year's Eve bike riding goodness you've ever experienced, and it's all because of Thursday night's impending BLUE MOON...

First up we've got the Thursday Night Social Ride. This one begins like usual, meeting at The Scoot Inn around 7pm and leaving there at 8. Expect the usual good times, hundreds of riders, convenience store stop, free beer and all the rest, but also EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED! This one's gonna run a bit different, and end at a party instead of the usual bar destination. A party you ask? Read on...

Our second stop is the Prime Time of Your Life 21st Street Co-op New Years Eve DANCE PARTY! Wow that's a mouthful. For the uninitiated, the 21st Street Co-op is a killer local co-op, hosting several bike events each year including the Motherfucking 100 as well as providing the space for a Yellow Bike satellite shop. DJ Blake Brandon will be providing the tunes, and the dance floor will be raucous. We'll be here through midnight so grab someone to kiss at the party if you don't have one already.

FINALLY, our third event of the night is the long-awaited Blue Moon Cruise or the "((FULL MOON)) CRUISE ((Blue))" in Whiteside-code. This one meets up on the bridge around 1AM, so if you get there at midnight and there's no crowd, don't fret. Just make out with whoever else might be there until the big ride shows up. The route for this ride is a SEKRET but it does involve hitting a bunch of free parties, but don't let that deter you from stocking up on party supplies yourself. Remember that the beer ceases to be sold at midnight so you've got to get what you need before then.

That's the big plan for New Years, as far as the weirdo biking community is concerned. If you're going to be downtown for First Night, you'll still get a dose of the good stuff because Austin Bike Zoo will be down there representing for us in the parade. Shit, this night's going to be epic, and I'll be sure to have appropriately epic tunes in tow. I've antagonized y'all with my music for long enough, anybody have any suggestions for the soundtrack to the next decade? Drop me a note with your requests and you might hear 'em Thursday/Friday.

(Thats my lonesome Wolfman howl) Sucks for me that I can't be there. It'd sure be nice to have someone else humping the music bike. Enjoy ya'llselves, MFkers!

This thing isn't too bad to haul around (I've been doing it while just riding around town lately) so I expect to be bring it out on a more regular basis. Come on a social ride and it'll probably make an appearance.

if you miss this ride you might as well miss your virginity. it is going to be fun as a mofo. and by mofo I MEAN MOTHERFUCKER.

yes there will be some free beer, but to show thanks and support for all the hard/last minutes work of all the heads involved we are asking every one give
ONE SINGLE FCK'N DOLLAR BILL
to the cause. blue cups only, ha ha!
