The Austin bike community is moving AND shaking.

SO much awesome bike shit is on the horizon over the next few months. Lots of things are still in the planning/working stage, but over the last couple weeks I've been made privy to a couple excellent sounding alleycats, parties, rides, events, fund raisers, bike-in movies, everything that has to do with SXSW (or that has NOTHING to do with it), some REALLY interesting behind the scenes political shit, an upcoming city bike summit, and even more things that aren't necessarily floating to the top of my brain right now. LOTS of stars are aligning in our favor, all the right organizations are talking to each other, the Yellow Bike Project HQ is SO NEAR COMPLETION I CAN TASTE IT (metallic and greasy, mmmmm), and the weather is in the upper 60s! Talk about PERFECT! If you think you've seen some crazy shit happen in the Austin bike community, you ain't seen nuthin' yet. 2010 is OUR fucking year. Brace yourselves.
