Social Cycling ATX presents: Thursday Night Social Ride - It's gonna RAIN!

Though a little late with getting this out (aren't we all sometimes?), the Social Cycling ATX crew released all the details for tonight's Thursday Night Social Ride, and if these assholes have anything to say about it, the skies are going to be pissing down near-freezing rain. Here's what you need to know to make the best of an ugly Thursday night:

Hey Social Cyclist. By the looks of things last week, everyone is back in town and back on their bikes. Some people said we had almost 300 riding with us last ride. Let's see if we can keep that up even though it looks like it might be a little wet this week.

WHERE AND WHEN: The Scoot Inn (map: http://tinyurl.com/yal8ls8) at 7:30pm. We ride at 8 sharp!

WHAT: We are going to take a nice ride around town, stop at a covered area for some bike games for prizes from Ozone Bike Department, ride some more then end up at the Thursday Night Social Ride's original watering hole, The Jackalope, where they are throwing down 300 pints of Harpoon IPA. After all the high fallutin' beer is gone, you get your Lone Stars for a buck.What a deal, what a steal. The Jackalope was the first bar that gave Social Cycling ATX some love and continues to be our stongest supporter. Be sure and tell them thanks and throw some extra tips the bartender's way for all of those free beers they are pouring us.

HOW: A helmet it always a good idea, but I will leave that to you. You are responsible for your own safety on the Social RIde. Other than that you need LIGHTS (REALLY... LIGHTS), a lock, a valid ID for the afterparty and some tip money for the bartenders.

SPECIAL NOTE: It is going to rain. There is no doubt about it, so gear up with a rainjacket, a wetsuit, or swimtrunks... whatever makes you most comfortable.
