The faces of the local cycling community... AWESOME!

Want to read some really good shit? Check out the comments on this post. I just got back from the Super! Awesome! Roller Disco Bike Ride! (which was AWESOME by the way), got sauced on the remaining liquor and beer, and then sat down and read through the 25 SOLID GOLD comments from many of the newer pillars of the cycling community. Seriously, most of us have been active with organizing, running sites, putting together rides, advocacy or finding free beer sponsors for LESS than 3 years. And look at how we go on about shit. It's really excellent reading, I assure you.

Definitely puts a human face on a bunch of the names you read in articles or on websites, eh? I love it. Thanks for coming out on my ride everybody. I had a fucking blast, the music was unlike anything we've heard on a ride before, and the roller skating afterwards was indescribable. Special thanks go out to all the awesome roller derby people who came out, rode with us, and totally showed us up in the rink. Definitely gonna have to make a habit of this.
