Digging the poster:

You know the drill. 7pm on the Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge, crew departs at 7:30 SHARP. Want to know the FULL Details? Here's the word from the facebook page:

It’s time, once again, to prepareth thyself for the pain, suffering and free beer quaffing of the Monday Night Heavy Metal Fitness Ride!

WHERE AND WHEN: Pfluger Pedestrian Briddge (next to Lamar Bridge). Meet at around 7, make sure your bike is in good working order, shoot the shit with your fellow riders then get ready to leave at 7:30pm SHARP!

WHAT: Expect a reasonably fast pace, covering 20 – 25 miles on an urban route in the dark. We will be running two groups. Slayer group for you fast folks. And a Melvins class for the mere mortals. We have had some requests for a Cruzer class. If you are interested in that, leave a comment below.

Afterwards, it’s to the Jackalope (http://www.jackalopebar.com/) to enjoy free beer, heavy metal music, half-priced pizza and happy hour ($2.00 wells) all damn night.

Ride what brung ya. Road, mountain, bmx, cruzer, fixie, whatever. Metal Fitness is an equal opportunity ride and not limited to roadies.

HOW: Last time I heard, you’re mother won’t be attending, so you’ll need to bring water, LIGHTS!!! (seriously and not those weak little blinky ones either), tube changing necessities, a lock, your id and TIP MONEY if you’re drinking. You might even check the route map (http://tinyurl.com/y4glgv6) so if you do get dropped you can finish the course.

I wear a helmet as the ride is fast, urban and in the dark. Yes, it’s a Heavy Metal ride but we rather you didn’t bang your head. Remember. Head injuries slow rides. And you don’t want to slow down a Heavy Metal Fitness ride. Now do you?

ROAD RULES: This is a fast ride, but it is still a Social Cycling ATX ride. STOP AT RED LIGHTS and always yield to cars who have the right of way.

We had about 60 out last week. I'm expecting more this week so everyone get ready for a damn fun ride.

STUDY THE MAP (http://tinyurl.com/y4glgv6), or face wandering around far South Austin while we drink your beer and eat your pizza.

See you at the Bridge, Metal Heads!
