According to Allstate Insurance Austin drivers rank as the worst motorists in Texas. Check out News 8's story on the subject but here are a couple interesting statistics:

(Austin) Drivers are 35 percent more likely to be involved in a collision than your average U.S. driver.

The average Austin driver will be involved in one collision once every 7.4 years. The nationwide average is one wreck every 10 years.

Be safe y'all.

I've been rear ended 3 times and none of them were insured through Allstate...in fact 2 of them weren't insured at all...SO SAY IT LOUD SAY IT PROUD...WE ARE THE WORST! late!

Maybe it's because all of Allstate's good Austin drivers opt for other (cheaper, better) insurers after they realize they're being screwed by Allstate.

Hah, I hadn't considered that option. I'm with Geico so I'm not factored into that statistic, but who knows.
