SkelliCyclists present: Skellies Nepal Ride! It's a Damn Good Cause!
Those wacky, weird, wonderful Skellicyclists are having a ride and shin-dig tomorrow in effort to raise funds to send a few of their members over to Nepal on a humanitarian aid mission, and they need your help! Read on for the details of the ride and after-party:
Let's ride! or meet us up at the Happy Hour spot: Molotov (West 6th st.). Some fellow skellies are going to Nepal pretty soon to help less fortunate people and need our support.
This is not just a bike ride. Feel free to walk or drive out to the bar to party for a good cause.
But for my skellies! and other 2-wheeled awesomeness :)
Meet at the Lamar Pedestrian Bridge at 4pm and we'll roll-out around 4:30ish. We'll go on a little ride and end up at the happy hour where certain proceeds will go toward this very good cause. Ride with us or meet us there from 6-8pm.More details about the cause below:

They're traveling to Nepal to help build a school building with other American volunteers in the Shree Bhawani village, where inadequate school facilities and a crumbling building are jeopardizing the education of the children. The project is being spearheaded by Edge of Seven, a nonprofit organization. They're still in the process of raising the funds necessary for the building supplies. Hopefully, with your help, they'll will be closer to their goal by the time they leave in early May.
So please come out, learn more about this project, and join us for a drink on April 28th! It's going to be a great night, and we are super excited that Austin-based musician Ariel Abshire will be performing in support of the project. She's an amazing talent you won't want to miss!
Please forward this event to family, friends, or anyone you think might be interested! They'll be receiving a small percentage of the bar proceeds between the hours of 6 to 8 p.m., so we hope to see you then!

That. Is. Awesome. I've gone on similar trips to Haiti during one of the earlier US military occupations to build school desks/renovate a school building/deliver food and meds to mountainous areas and it was the fucking shit! Try to make it to the bar between 6-8pm and get to drinkin', as this is when the bar'll be donating money to the cause. This is pretty cool Nam, thanks for letting us know about it.
Jason was doing charity work in haiti before it was cool.
