Speaking of YOUR MOM, have y'all gotten over to the east side to try Your Mom's Burger Bar yet? If not I'd suggest you get on that shit. I'd been hearing about them for weeks from lots of my biker friends, how amazing their burgers are, how swell the guys who run the joint are, all manner of positivity with regards to this little hamburger shack just behind Las Cazuelas (1701 E. Caesar Chavez). Well I finally rolled in there last week to give it a shot and ever since I've been officially HOOKED.

Their shtick is that they stuff half a pound of hamburger with a variety of ingredients like pulled pork, pepperjack cheese or boudain, grill them to perfection, and then top the beast with all manner of awesome. Check out their menu if you're ready to have your mouth watering and your stomach craving the goodness. For your first time in they even throw you free fries with your order, so make sure you mention it's your inaugural visit. I guarantee you it won't be your last. May I suggest the Frida Kahlo burger? It's stuffed with chorizo and is served with an egg on top! IT'S AMAZING.

To help us lowly bikers stretch them ducats, they even offer a 10% discount to anyone who walks or bikes to the restaurant. FUCK YES! They deliver to businesses and residents in the neighborhood via bicycle, so if you're in the area and can't drop by, call them up and place an order. The delivery person will probably be someone familiar to you.

This is a top notch food spot being run by a bunch of cyclists, from the owners to the delivery staff to the cooks, all the way through. If you're looking for an amazing burger, chill company and want to support a couple bikers trying to make a living, swing by and get your grub on. Also let me recommend the fried garlic mushrooms. They'll blow your mind.

This is coming from a chick that is "almost" a vegetarian. They are closed on Sundays (I believe) but other then that, I give them full 100% recommendation too. Get the onion rings! $1.50 for a half-order and you won't leave hungry from that snack. and BYOB. the best.

bike nerd fo' life, yo

Oh yeah! I totally forgot to mention they were BYOB. Another big plus in my book. Thanks Jessica!

I've been there 3 times in the last week. I think they put crack in their burgers.
