Blessing of the Bikes - This Saturday!

As part of the general celebraion of Bike Month, a local crew is performing a "Blessing of the Bikes" this Saturday morning at Mosaic (5619 Airport Blvd), round 10:30am. It's a time to remember our fellow cyclists who have lost their lives, as well as celebrate everyone who still rides with us. Here are the details of the event:

You each are bikers and/or connected to various biking communities in Austin that we'd love to have participate in the first annual Blessing of the Bikes.

On May 15th, 2010, cyclists of all kinds will gather as a community to remember and honor our peers who have fallen. We will also receive a blessing and celebrate the bicycle, the role it plays in forming our communities, the relationships which it helps to build and foster, and its role as a sustainable transportation alternative.

These are all principles which we affirm as a community, and invite everyone to join with us.
All ages welcome.
All faiths [or lack thereof] are welcome
