There's another big event coming up this weekend that I haven't properly hyped, but it's gotten a ton of press anyway so not a huge deal. Grackle Fest 2010 happens out at the Hundred Acre Wood this Saturday/Sunday, and though the gate fee is 20 bones if you show up in a car, they're doing a special ride out to the event and any cyclist showing up on their bike/trike/unicycle/hpv will get 50% off the entrance fee, dropping it down to only 10 bucks! NICE! Here are the details for the event, as well as a full list of performers and things to do:

The Hundred Acre Wood will be hosting Grackle Fest on May 22nd.

Come celebrate nature, music, dance, art, cycling, and camping in a gorgeous wooded retreat!

Art Installation Competition!
Members of Grackle Fest are seeking proposals for art installations to be displayed at The Hundred Acre Wood from May 22nd to 23rd. Artists are invited to create site specific installations ranging from sculptural works to interactive pieces and are encouraged to incorporate the natural setting into their works. Art collaborations of up to 4 people are welcome.
Tours of the Hundred Acre Wood will be given upon request. We would be delighted to show you around and let you stake out a spot.
During the event Grackle Fest attendants will silently vote on their favorite piece. The winning Artist will be announced during the event, and receive a bottle of champagne and an opportunity to showcase their work at Co-Lab Art Cooperative the first week of September.

I always love biker discounts, especially for events that include camping, the outdoors, and performances by Minor Mishap Marching Band, Wino Vino, and That Damned Band amongst others. IF you're going to be riding out with the group let them know today or tomorrow and they'll make sure to reserve space for your gear in the SAG wagon. Badass, y'all.
