Hey people? Like bikes? Consider yourself "austin weird"? Down with the mota? If you said "yes" to ANY of those questions, check this out:

Attention Cyclist Community:

We want you as an extra in our film!

'Slackers,' 'Dazed and Confused,' 'Office Space' - don't you wish you'd been around to work on one of these local legends? Well, here's your chance to get in on the next one: "Austin High."

It's a stoner film with *heart.* It's dueling pedicabbers, a War on Weird, a journey to the 6th street of yore. This film is a whole lot uh enchilada and your FOMO meter should be twitching mightily right now. Epic, legendary fun to be had and captured for the Big Screen. Filming begins June 8, help needed NOW.

We need you for two major scenes:

Rally Scene at the Capitol- Friday June 18 through Sunday June 20

We especially need you that Saturday, June 19th.(the other days too if you can swing it)

Bring yourself, your bike, and as many friends as you can get!!!

For a burlesque/music performance at the US Art Authority, the evening of Thursday, June 24th.

The weirder, the better. Bust out your craziest duds.

Tell your friends, check out our website, and keep Austin rad. Bike on.

I've had a couple people mention this one to me now, but the date is getting closer so I wanted to actually get off my ass and get it posted. So there it is. This sounds like a great opportunity to have a lot of fun with some chill people and get your face immortalized on film. Who knows, maybe this is the start of something big. I know a certain cyclist who played a memorable role in a little movie named "Slacker", and now she runs the City of Austin Bicycle Program. Think about it...

better yet, SHOW UP!

Jason you got it all wrong! Austin stories was great and it got cancelled just like another mid 90's gem, My So-Called Life. There are a lot of full episodes on youtube, check it out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaLf00AlxMU

Anyone remember Austin Stories from the late 90's ? Why did they cancel that show ?

Was that the MTV one? Maybe because it SUCKED! I do remember the episode about the "walker" being slightly funny, but that was about it.
