Social Cycling ATX presents: Thursday Night Social Ride - Iron Gate is making with the beer.

This week's ride description is short and sweet, just like Brooks and Keith. Wait, that didn't sound right...

Thursday already again!? Alright then everyone get on your bikes, meet at our new meeting place and get ready to ride around town, have a bit of fun then land at an after party at the Iron Gate Lounge where the usual shenanigans will entail.

WHERE AND WHEN: If you have been away or under a rock, we have a new meeting place. We are meeting at this nice patch of grass just East of the I-35 bridge, down by the river. We meet up at 7:30pm. We leave at 8pm sharp.

WHAT: A social bike ride around town. We'll stop a couple of times and chill at some parks. We will ride some more and end up at an afterparty at the Iron Gate Lounge (http://www.facebook.com/irongatelounge) on East 6th Street. They bought us some kegs and are having us over for a party. Be sure you throw some money in the tip jar for all of that free beer.

HOW: Social Cycling Austin rides AS traffic and NOT AGAINST it. We stop at red lights, yield to cars and stay in one lane as best we can. We are nice to all of our fellow riders as well as all of the other traffic on the road. If you have any questions about why we do this ask me or any other ride leader. Your reward for doing so is getting to ride with a great group of people and FREE BEER at the end of the ride.

WHAT YOU NEED: LIGHTS(!!!!!!!!), a lock, a valid ID to get into the afterparty and some TIP MONEY to throw into the jar as those bartenders are hooking you up.
