Social Cycling ATX presents: Wednesday Hump Day NOONER Ride. Heal up Brooks!
There's about 2 hours 'till the Wednesday Hump Day Nooner Ride, and here's the dirt on what's new and unusual this time around. Specifically, sounds like Brooks took a bump on his last dirt excursion and might not be joining the ride, but don't let that deter you! The Hump Day Nooner ride will still be full of the fun fun hill climbing, coffee drinking, lunch munching awesomeness you're used to:
I maybe out this week. I crashed my bike off a dirt jump and bruised my ribs. Makes riding up hills no fun. I don't want this to deter you from riding and meeting up with your fellow nooners. This weeks ride is still on but with no dedicated leader. Can you all work together to come up with a lunch spot and play nice for the less experienced on the ride? Hopefully my ribs will heal fast and I'll be back on the ride soon. Ride sa...fe and predictable.
We meet on the ped. bridge at 11:45 am, get to know your fellow riders, ride out at 12:10 pm. Ride up a hill or two and head to get a refreshing beverage and ride to get lunch. Rides are between 5 and 10 miles. The route is determined on the fly.
This is a no-drop ride, with hills. All levels are welcome. I encourage the beginners to push themselves to keep up and the faster riders to wait up. If your having trouble with the pace please let me or the group know and we will try to adjust it.
Depart: 12:10 pm.
Bring: WATER, sunblock, a lock, a well tuned bike, swim suit, also some spare tubes & tools wouldn't hurt.
Weather Report: High of 99°F. Perfect ;)

11:45am today. On the ped bridge. Damn I wish I was in closer proximity to downtown sometimes. DON'T forget hydration folks. Heat stroke is no joke.
