Marketing is funny.
It's weird. The less time I've been able to devote to this site, the more various companies want to "sponsor" ATXBS in return for ad-space and product reviews. Many of the companies have at least some peripheral connection to Austin and/or bicycles, but then I wake up to emails like this:
Hi,
I have a client who is interested in becoming a sponsor on your site: http://www.atxbs.com/
Their website provides auto insurance rate comparisons.
Please send me information on how we can contribute to become a sponsor.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Huh. Do they even LOOK at the sites before sending shit like this? Her company does "web design", and by the look of their website they're about as astute in that realm as they are in targeted marketing. Good stuff.
I get those every couple of weeks too. It's the new spam. My favorite was the guy wanting to put car ads on my site. Auto insurance is rich too. I get the feeling he never bothered to read even one of my posts!
