This weekend the Austin Bike Zoo is taking part in a world-wide art installation called "NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH" by performing An Oddity Odyssey for all of y'all good people, and they're doing it FO' FREE! Check the details:

AN ODDITY ODYSSEY
...A pedal-powered tour of the four elements and the fantastical creatures of the human imagination.

In the tradition of Wheels of Wonderland, The Austin Bike Zoo will be presenting a one-night performance installation combining theatre, dance, music, comedy and circus arts with our world-famous kinetic sculptures and the work of visual artists from Austin and around the world to create an unforgettable night of art and magic!

Featuring
[humdrum collective] Experimental Theatre
Surly Joe Jargon as The Cyclops
Luna Tart as Medusa
Goldie Candela of The Jigglewatts as The Phoenix
and performers from The 999 Eyes Freak Show, CircX Vortex and many more portraying sirens, mermaids, fairies and the beasts and being of myth and legend!

Part of NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH: An international art installation taking place simultaneously in eight cities across four continents. Visual artwork is being gathered from artists in Austin, Chicago, El Paso, Seattle, Tampa, Oslo (Norway), Melbourne (Australia) and Thiumphu (Bhutan) to be displayed in neighborhoods creating an globe-spanning public art gallery on Saturday, August 21st.

This happens down next to G'Raj Mahal, just south of Caesar Chavez off of Red River. There's VERY VERY VERY minimal parking so be sure to ride your bike there!
