Like the Thursday Night Social Ride? Great! Help out and have fun.
Hey folks, it sounds like Keith is taking an active part in the Social Cycling ATX rides again, and to help keep the herd in check he's looking for a few good ride leaders. Interested? Show up tonight at 7pm (usual spot) and see what he's got cooked up:
Hey everyone.
This Wednesday we are having a ride/swim/after party for ride leaders. If you are currently a ride leader or want to be one, meet us at the usual TNSR meeting place this Wednesday at 7 pm. We will meet, talk for a bit about how we run the ride, go on a nice long ride around town, hit Barton Springs (if open), then ride over to the Double Down(http://doubledownaustin.com/) for some nice specials on cold beer.
WHERE AND WHEN: Fiesta Gardens, just East of the I-35 bridge on the North shore of Town Lake. We meet at 7pm, hang out and talk and leave sometime shortly after 8pm.
WHAT: A ride for all leaders... past, present and future.
Social Cycling Austin needs more new leaders. We are continuing to grow and need the extra help to keep this ride running smoothly and safely.
Volunteering will have its benefits. Discounts at bike shops, special events, access to free bicycle safety classes, FREE STUFF (hell yeah!) and knowing that you are helping promote cycling in Austin are just some of the reasons you should consider lending a hand. On top of all of that, it's fun.
HOW: If you are a leader or want to become one, you probably already know how we ride and why. If not, show up this Wednesday and find out.
WHAT YOU NEED: LIGHTS, a lock, a swimsuit, a little bit of cash for the bar. A helmet is always a good idea, but that is your call. A patch kit, a tube and a pump aren't a bad idea either.
Social Cycling Austin and the TNSR have received a ton of recognition, awards and accolades in the past year and a half. We have done all of this while having a blast, meeting new friends and riding our bikes together. We need your help to keep on doing what we do.
I will hopefully see some of you by the lake this Wednesday evening.
Thanks.

Don't want to be a leader? Then show up Thursday instead. ;)
