PULP presents: Urban Motorless Scavenger Race!

Shit how did I not take notice of this event sooner. Today at 2:30pm at Zilker Park (registration is near the volley ball courts) there's gonna be an epic-sounding scavenger hunt, where the big rule is NO MOTOR VEHICLES! That means walk, run, bike, long-board, do anything that's human powered (or even animal powered I guess) to get your ass around and find the shit. Here are the details (from their facebook event page:

PULP is hosting a video scavenger hunt around the city of Austin on November 13. The catch is: no motors allowed. Go on foot, ride your bike, or use your skate board. Just NO MOTOR VEHICLES. It's going to be an epic adventure.

Viewing party to follow with unlimited beer for participants!

2:30pm- Registration at Zilker Park
3:30pm- PULP URBAN ADVENTURE BEGINS
6:30pm- End race at 1911 Woodland Ave. for viewing party
7:00pm- Viewing party & Winner announced!

RULES AND REGULATIONS:
-$10 per person; $18 for a team of 2; $30 for a team of 4
-Each player gets a bracelet for unlimited beer after the hunt
-Each team must provide its own video camera or point and shoot that records video as well as any necessary equipment to upload onto a computer
-No motors allowed
-Be as literal or figurative as you want with the tasks

The viewing party is open to the public. Invite your friends to come watch your videos! If you can’t make the scavenger hunt, bring $5 for unlimited beer.

Registration works out to be about $8-10 a person, depending on how many folks you have on your team (up to 4). The price includes beer bracelets, and you HAVE to have some form of video recording device and the means to transfer the files to a computer. Think about this iPhone users.
