Cyclist struck and killed early Sunday morning in East Austin

Around 5am Sunday morning a cyclist was struck and killed on the east side of 183. Here's the full article:

They don't mention names but they did state that the driver called 911 and stayed on the scene until the officers arrived. If nothing else I'm thankful for that. I can't imagine hitting someone and then running from it. They also mentioned that the cyclist had no lights or reflective gear. Being an article about a cyclist being killed, they do mention the he wasn't wearing a helmet but fail to mention if the driver was wearing his. Probably not. Remember your lights, y'all! It's getting dark earlier and staying dark later. Stay safe, I don't want to write one of these about any of my friends.

My thoughts are with the cyclists family and friends. RIP.
