Critical Mass New Years Eve edition!
Woah, talk about fortuity. Turns out this month's Critical Mass ride happens to fall on New Years Eve! Since I expect all of ya'll to have a million parties to go to afterward, don't bother running home to change and wear your suits and fancy dresses to the ride! It's the end of a decade and the beginning of a new one, hopefully the one that'll bring about the impending mirror-shades and chromed limbs apocalypse. What, I'm a child of the 80s and a disciple of Gibson. I like my wires hard and my 'ware wet. It could happen. Anyway...
5pm this Friday on the UT West Mall is the place and time. The ride leaves around 5:30ish, or whenever the crowd grows restless enough to get moving. Bring your bike, the gear you need to fix shit if your bike breaks down (nobody likes a mooch, suckas), friends on bikes, music makers, bike stereos, biker kids (seriously this has been one of the highlights of the recent CM rides for me), signs, banners, hydration of whatever form you desire (extra to share wins new friends), and all the party supplies you need to make a New Years Eve bike ride the most talked-about event of 2010!
Be forewarned folks, I'm in a decent financial situation relative to the past year or so, I'm looking for a good time, and I've got the following couple days off. Expect shit to blow up.
I did not know you were a Gibson fan as well. Awesome. I finally met Bruce Sterling a few months ago and had him sign my copy of Mirrorshades.
I just bought Pattern Recognition by Gibson!!!
